Trinity Financial
- Quinnipiac Terrace, New Haven, Connecticut
- Trinity Financial was selected by the Housing Authority of the City of New Haven (HANH) for the HOPE VI redevelopment of Quinnipiac Terrace. Located in the Fair Haven neighborhood of New Haven along the Quinnipiac River, the new development will create 160 new units, transforming a severely distressed public housing development in to a welcoming community. Redevelopment will occur in two phases. The first phase called for demolition of seven existing public housing buildings and construction of 81 new family apartments. Unlike the current development, all townhouses will have private entries, and private back yards. The total development cost for Phase I was approximately $22 million which was financed through a combination of HOPE VI funds, the syndication of $1.5 million in 9% Low Income Housing Tax Credits and the City of New Haven HOME funds. Phase II is currently under construction with occupancy to begin in July 2008. The proposed development program will reconnect Quinnipiac Terrace to the larger Fair Haven community creating an exciting new river-front neighborhood.
