- Mattapan Heights II is a new mixed income housing community in the Mattapan neighborhood of Boston. Located on the 52-acre campus of the former Boston Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital, the project entails the adaptive reuse of the Ward Buildings, a collection of historically significant structures on the former hospital campus. The extensive restoration involves redesigning building interiors to accomodate both duplex and more traditional, flat apartment styles.
- Mattapan Heights II marks the second phase of a three phase redevelopment plan of the campus that includes conversion of the Ward Buildings into 83 one, two and three bedroom apartments. All units are affordable to households at or below 60% of area median income.
