Located in the heart of Boston’s historic Bulfinch Triangle, Avenir is a 10-floor mixed-use, transportation-oriented development that includes retail on the ground floor, a 121-space parking garage on the second and third floors, and 241 residential units, including 17 affordable units, on the second through tenth floors. The Project site, the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority’s (MBTA) Parcel 1A, is bounded by Haverhill Street, Canal Street, Causeway Street and Valenti Way and sits directly above the MBTA’s North Station Green and Orange-Line Superstation.
The design concept of the block-long structure includes a series of varied building masses ranging from three to ten stories, reminiscent of the character of separate buildings along existing streets in the historic Bulfinch Triangle. The building’s parking garage is on the 2nd and 3rd floor, elegantly wrapped by duplex lofts. With attractive retail, stylish interiors and its relationship to a variety of transportation links, Avenir will inevitably become one of Boston’s most appealing destinations.
